Intake Support

When you first arrive: Depending on your level of need for basic living necessities, we may provide you with a one-time grocery gift card, a gift card to Holiday Gas Station, and clothing, coat, or shoes from Angel Hands Thrift Shop. We connect you with community support such as the food shelf and a local church for a gas and grocery voucher.

Transportation

We provide temporary and back-up transportation support:

  • We will drive you to apply for local jobs

  • We can help arrange back-up rides to work for up to 2-weeks if your car breaks down.

  • We help arrange transportation through community mentors for AA/NA recovery support meetings.

  • Once you receive your first paycheck, you will be expected to contribute $5.00/ride.

  • We expect you to obtain a working reliable vehicle, titled and insured in your name. We will help create a budget plan to achieve this goal.

Life Skills

We believe that giving residents the tools they need helps pave the way for a long-lasting, healthy recovery. Many people in recovery need support in achieving their goals. We support you in the process to:

  • Obtain a current identification card, birth certificate, and social security card

  • Apply for and secure full-time first shift employment

  • Create a budget to meet basic necessities, program fees, child support, fines/fees, and other financial obligations

  • Secure health insurance and make necessary medical, dental, and mental health appointments

  • Make progress toward reinstating driver's license and obtaining, registering, and insuring a vehicle

  • Create an exit plan including building up savings to finance a deposit and first-month rent

  • Build credit and plan for home ownership: We partner with Mike Cardenas of Supreme Lending, and Sarah Cook of Re/Max Assurance to provide Home and Credit Coaching services.

Accountability and Peer Support

We provide accountability and peer support. Residents must pass alcohol & drug tests, attend recovery support meetings, and work a full time first shift job. We will connect you to a recovery coach who will help you create a recovery wellness plan and set weekly goals.

House owner Bob Hilde has been in long-term recovery for over 16 years and is happy to provide that peer support needed to get through the rough days and celebrate the good ones. We can connect you to community mentors willing to meet with you when you need extra support.

You are not alone in your recovery.
